Parker executive search hired to find new athletic director

Last Wednesday, April 22, Athletic Director Dave Maggard retired just days after announcing a plan to renovate Robertson stadium. Students and Alumni were shocked that the school’s second longest tenured athletic director was gone.

UH President Renu Khator has now hired a search firm to find candidates to fit the job description; she has also assembled an 11-person committee chaired by UH Executive Vice President for administration and finance. The committee will be in charge of interviewing and presenting strengths and weaknesses for final candidates.

Parker executive search will conduct the nationwide search and will have to find somebody to fit the shoes of an athletic director that revived the two biggest sports at UH, football and basketball.
